Then come and use your qualifications and skills to work as a Faultsperson for Unison Contracting Services.

 

Unison Contracting Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Line Mechanic or Electrician to join our Faults Team based in our busy Rotorua depot. As a Faultsperson you will be working across our network in the Rotorua area to provide 24 hour / 7 days a week fault response in a safe and efficient manner. Availability to participate in the on-call roster, along with other after-hours work, is essential, with a competitive remuneration package ensuring the successful candidate is well compensated for this.

 

Safety is one of Unison's core values; it's at the forefront of everything we do. Given this, and due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will have the innate ability to stay calm and make rational, safe decisions under pressure.

 

To be successful in this position you must have:

  • Electrical Registration with the EWRB as a Line Mechanic or Electrician
  • Experience working in the Electrical Distribution industry would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Electrical Inspector Registration, or be working towards registration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, an ability to follow instructions with strong accuracy and efficiency while maintaining safety standards at all times
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure
  • A positive outlook, with the ability to work independently while staying focused
